Malaria Vaccine-Overcoming 'Clinical Trials Labyrinth'

 In this post in the Center for Global Development's "Global Health Policy" blog, Amanda Glassman, the director of Global Health Policy and a research fellow at the center, and Thomas Bollyky, a former research fellow at the center, write that this month's announcement that "an experimental vaccine cuts in half the risk of malaria in children in Africa is a welcome success story 20+ years in the making" and is "also a rare bright spot in the clinical trials labyrinth that stands between promising new medicines, vaccines, and diagnostic techniques and the one billion people in the developing world who suffer from one or more neglected diseases" (10/24).
